On a very warm day, at the beginning of July the Beaver Scouts from Gravesham had a fantastic opportunity to be Beavers on the Water.
Colonies from across Gravesham came together at Leybourne Lakes to try out Canoeing, Bell Boating and Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Over 50 Beaver Scouts attended and had fun on the water spending most of their time on board the crafts but quite a bit splashing about in the water, generally getting very soggy and having an amazing time!
Some new skills were acquired and all of the Beavers came off the water happy.
We had a couple of visitors from the County Beaver Team, Debby and Jenn, join us for the day. Jenn didn’t know where we were paddling but followed the Beavers laughter from the car park.
A huge THANK YOU to Ged and the water team for planning and running the day and thank you to
Windmill Hill, 1st Northfleet, Riverview Park, Culverstone & Vigo, 5th Northfleet, 31st Gravesend and Istead Rise from coming along and joining in the fun. ☺
