Beavers on Water 2024
Early in July Gravesham District held its annual Beavers on Water event at Leybourne Lakes.
Eight Beaver Colonies from across the District had brave Beavers come out to join in the fun on a not so warm and sunny day.
Both sessions had a little rainy and were breezy making it more challenging for the Beavers to steer their crafts but they persevered and all had a good time. They were able to enjoy Bell boating, open canoeing and using the Stand up Paddle boards- although due to the wind they sat down.
They were ably supported by the ever fantastic water team, lead by Ged who made sure everyone stayed safe and had fun.
A huge THANK YOU to the Water Team who made the whole thing possible and as always to the fabulous Beavers, Leaders, Young Leaders and helpers from Windmill Hill, Riverview Park, Culverstone &,Vigo, 5th Northfleet, 1st Northfleet, 31st Gravesend, 3rd Gravesend and Meopham who came out and participated.
