St George’s Day Celebration 2025

This year St George’s Day will be a little bit different… but also a bit the same!
As we have previously done, we will meet outside the Old Town Hall at 1:15pm on Sunday 27th April to parade up to the Community Square for a short celebration and renewal of promises starting at 1:30 pm. We will then go on for some activities for different sections…
· Squirrels and Beavers – will be enjoying a film (with popcorn!)
· Cubs – will be exploring some Gravesham History in Fort Gardens
· Scouts – will be visiting the Panic Rooms
· Explorers – will have Laser Tag and Gaming
· Network – will have a separate evening activity (as many Network are also Leaders)
Although all activities will be subsidised by Gravesham Scouts, both the Scouts and Explorer activities will have a cost of £16 per young person. Activities for the 3 younger sections will be FREE for the young people. This is to be collected by those sections and paid after the event, details to follow.
Of course if leaders or young people don’t want to go on to the activities that is fine too.
To let us plan we do need to have an idea of who is coming… So we are asking section leaders to let us know if their section will (or will not) be present and approximate numbers by Sunday 6th April, and for Scout and Explorer leaders to confirm numbers by Sunday 13th April at the very latest. To let us know if your section is coming, please complete the short form found here: https://forms.gle/izWbV4R6mCmUthH46
Any questions please speak to Fraser, Dave Norris, Jack Reeves or Richard Ruddick.
