Just a quick note to thank everyone who turned up to the St George’s Day Parade in Gravesend this afternoon.
To say it was “wet” would be an understatement and possibly the “wettest” parade in over 11 years I understand. Everyone was impeccable and did us proud.
A massive thank you, not only to the young people, but all the leaders and adults who lead from the front and keep Gravesham Scouts very much on the map.
Thanks must also go to those who quietly mull around in the background to organise todays event. Particularly Alan Skelton, Richard Ruddick, Lynda Sawell and the Network members who helped marshall the event.
Thank you also to Fraser for stepping in as parade marshal at short notice.
I’ll try to book better weather for next year!!
You are all awesome which is what makes Gravesham one of the best Districts in Kent (and probably the UK!)
Unbelievably whilst I’m writing this, some two hours later, the sun is shining and you wouldn’t believe what we stood in earlier today!!
Many thanks.

District Commissioner
