Young Leader Trainer
Several new Young Leaders from Gravesham attended a Module A evening last night at Rosherville Hall (1st Northfleet HQ) and learnt about becoming a young leader in Gravesham.
Module A is the first module in the Young Leader scheme and focuses on the important aspects of scouting which are vital for any first time leader. They had a fun and interactive evening where they discussed a variety of different topics from safeguarding to how to deal with certain situations. A lot of interesting ideas were thought up at the same time as going through a powerpoint presentation and they came away from the evening with a lot of new ideas to share with the groups that they work in. The participants will now be going on to do a Module K session which is a day long first aid course and from there, moving into county scout events to do the rest of the training. The end result will be a young leader belt if all work is completed by the time that the explorers are 18.
Many thanks to Dave Norris for running the main part of the course, Dave Moesli and Jack Reeves for assisting with the running of the event.
